Hello,

Osteoarthritis is usually age related and most important thing is with increasing age the bones and joints become weak and with that if a person has weight issues then this keeps on increasing. So regular exercise and maintaining healthy weight are very important along with pain medication.

There are injections that are given in knee joint increase the lubricaiton and helps in easy mobility which depends on patients overall condition. If the doctor's have found out that the issue is associated with synovial fluid levels then they will suggest options like intra-articular injections. So consult your doctor about it.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
