Does Exposure To X-ray Radiation During Pregnancy Cause Birth Defects?
im 37 y.old 5 months pregnant.i sufferred a dislocated right shoulder and needed to undergo x-ray to know by the doctor how it will maneuver to correct it.theyve used a cover to my tummy to avoide exposure frm x-ray radiation.will my baby not suffer frm any birth defects or retardation?

Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. If the doctors had used the lead apron to cover the abdomen while exposure to the X Ray radiations, then the fetus would not have received any radiation. Hence there is no risk to the fetus in your case.
