Does Having Placement Of Mirena Cause Elevating Levels Of Iron In Body?
Hi, my iron levels have returned a high reading and the pathologist has said that this is indicative of being on iron theropy. I have never taken iron supplements and I don't eat large amounts of iron rich foods. But I do have a mirena fitted and have not had a period for 2 years, can you please tell me if this can effect the iron levels. Thanks.

Mirena does not have any effect on your iron levels as it does not increase the level of iron in the body , more detailed investigation will be required for this condition, like hplc.
