Does Hormones Lead To Bartholin Gland Cysts In Woman?

Hello. I have had to get my Bartholin Gland Cysts lanced about 3 times. I haven't had an issue with them in about 2 1/2 years, since I stopped taking birth control pills. My mom had issues with these only when she was pregnant with her three children, and I've also had a few friends that had issues only when they were pregnant/ on birth control. Could the changes in hormones, in the female body contribute to bartholin gland cysts?

I can understand your concern.

Infection, thick mucus or swelling can block a bartholin gland duct and cause a cyst. Young and sexually active women has more chance of bartholin cyst. It is not a serious issue. Consult your gynecologist and take treatment accordingly.
