Does Mebendazole Cause Fecal Incontinence, Nausea And Vomiting?

I just took my first dose of mebendazole and shortly thereafter, there was stool on my panties without my being conscious of producing it and not having moved my bowels since dressing with that pair of panties. Is the parasite attempting to exit & creating this mess?
Also, I spent last evening in the ER due to vomiting all that I ate yesterday. I've been nauseaus and vomiting today as well, however the nausea is better since my Dr. gave me some transderm scop. Is the parasite causing the nausea & vomiting?

Hello
Mebendazole is a broad spectrum ANTIHELMINTIC , uses for hookworm, round worm, tapeworm, threadworm, pinworm, mixedinfestations.
Side effects are :
Nausea, vomiting , diarrhea abdominal pain, skin rash, hair loss granulocytopenia.
In your case nausea, diarrhea, vomiting may be due to the side effects of mebendazole .
However I have noted in many patients that when they take antihelmintic drugs , they develop such type of symptoms ( nausea, diarrhea , vomiting).
Either due to the action of worms or due to side effect of drugs.
Hope this will help you.
Good luck.
