does medroxyprogesterone stop menstrual cycles. I bleed very heavy and docotor gave them tome for 10 days to stop my menstrual. I have very bad cramping and clotting I am being treated for fibroids . I am going on a cruise next month and my mestrual will be on. My OBGYN doctor gave me Medroxyprogesterone to stop my menstruation while on the cruise does this medication help this situation.
