Does Microdermabrasion Help To Remove Rolling And Ice Pick Scars?
hi i am a 20 year old male, 189cm tall and weigh 72kgs...i have acne scars on my cheeks and i am currently undergoing microdermabrasion treatment to smoothen out the scars and even out my skin tone...I have rolling scars and ice pick scars...do you think i should continue with microdermabrasion or move onto some other treatment? I cannot afford to have a downtime of more than 48 hours so it is vital that you suggest treatments that do not have downtimes of more than 48 hours...thank you
I can understand your apprehension regarding acne scars and I will try my best to answer your query in a rightful way.
Acne scars are pretty challenging to treat and treatment comes with variable results.
Microdermabrasion does help with superficial rolling scars but effect is not much gratifying.
Though laser therapy (Fractional Co2 laser, Non-ablative RF etc) has the best results of all other treatment modalities, as your prime concern is less downtime I would suggest you go for microneedling or dermaroller treatment. It doesnot have that long downtime as Lasers and definitely better results than microdermabrasion.
