Hi,I am Dr. Andrew Rynne (Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Does Pain In The Joints Caused By Bursitis Or Childhood Femoral Torsion?
I had femoral torsion as a child that was caused by hip/join issue, I and now 64 years old and have pain in my joint that doctor says is bursitis but I wonder is if it is related to what I had as a child as it seems odd I would have an injury on both sides.
Hi, Thanks for asking. Based on your query, my opinion is as follows. 1. No, both are not related. 2. Bursitis is due to long term abnormal position, which has irritated the bursae, causing it to get inflamed. 3. Corticosteroid to reduce inflammation and physiotherapy is essential. 4. Childhood damage, not related. Hope it helps. Any further queries, happy to help again.
