Sir, I have lung infection since 4 month. examined ny Pulmanalogist.flueral fluid segregation found and treatedth. It has been aspirated(100 mL) and test result revealed heavy growth of staphylo cocci and fluid ADA level is 33.7U/L. treated with Augmentation 1000, Ab phylline,ceftum and montev lc. found improvement. However from last week's x ray and ct scan reveled existence of Flurel fluid again and suggestive of Koach's Disease and for pleural fluid aspirate analysis. Now I am taking Tab.Linozolid 600 mg (2 per day :1-0-1).Will you pl. advise on its effect and accurecy. Thankig you,Murthy
Hello. As you mentioned that there was staphylococcus bacteria in aspirated fluid from pleura . Beside there is also Koch's ( tuberculosis ) ,as you mentioned that you are taking this treatment from last 4 months . Please write down still you are taking this treatment with linezolide or stopped the A T T ( ANTI TUBERCULAR TREATMENT ) as this is most important because , you. mentioned that still fluid present . In my opinion once treatment started fluid resolves within -4 months , in your case still present . Consult one more specialist ( pulmonologist ) and get his opinion. At least in my opinion disease in not responding to treatment . However you can taker linezolid . Good luck
