Hello. Thank you for writing to us at healthcaremagic
B-Vitamin has no role in treatment of
acne.
Acne is a recurrent and chronic condition, as you must have noticed that you have had acne for almost 4-5 years. Sometimes it can last decades but with reduced severity with passing time.
Regarding
treatment of acne, it is important to maintain the improvement once acne activity subsides. Topical
retinoids are ideally suited for acne.
The topical cream that you used before for acne treatment contains a topical retinoid i.e tretinoin; you must continue to use it but with reduced frequency for a certain period of time till your acne activity dies down.
I would suggest that you visit a
dermatologist for a review of you skin condition. Your dermatologist will assess whether your acne problem is severe enough to warrant an Oral antibiotic Or would topical treatment alone would be sufficient.
Topical antiacne treatment includes
benzoyl peroxide or
clindamycin for day time use and a topical retinoid i.e either tretinoin or adaplene gel, for night time application.
I would suggest a gentle cleanser for face wash rather than a harsh cleanser that you are already using.
Besides oral and topical treatment you may also opt for a few sessions of chemical peeling from your treating dermatologist.
Salicylic acid chemical peel is particularly suitable for acne.
