Done HSG Test, Can Some Online Doctor Help Me Read The So And So Test Report

Dear Doctor, My wife undergone HSG test in July 2013.
The report says..
1) Uterus appears normal sized and shows smooth outline.
2) Free peritoneal spill is seen on both sides, indicating that the both tubes are patent. However right tube shows terminal dilatation/ hydrosalpinx.

Conclusion : Normal sized uterus, Free peritonal spill seen on both sides, Terminal dilatation of RT tube.

.... What does this mean , what will be thefurther treatment.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

HSG is done primarily to assess whether the tubes are patent/open. Any blockage of the tubes can result in difficulty with conception.

There is no obstruction seen in your wife's scan, it indicates that there is free spill of fluid however there is evidence of hydrosalpinx.

Hydrosalpinx is a fallopian tube that is filled with fluid. It results from previous injury to the tube, commonly an infection.

The current fluid is sterile however there is a risk of re infection.

Fertility can still be acheived , mainly by assisted methods such as IVF.

I hope this helps
