Done Abrasion For Leg Veins. Dark Blotches On Skin. What To Do?
I had my veins in my legs treated. The doctor performed what she called an abrasion, using a needle she gave me injection in my veins. The result ended with very dark veins under my skin. She said it would take about 6 months for the darkening to go away. I has been 7 months and the blotches are still there and they look ugly. She just chucked and said that is what happens to people of color; I am Hispanic.
She called me and said if it really bothered me I could use a skin bleach (that would lighten the skin, not take the darkening under the skin away. She also told me that I could go to a Laiser Institure in Colorado Springs. I really feel she should take care of this. I don't want her to inject me anymore. I hope we can settle this so I can move on.
I should have been told that treatment could result in visible dark veins .
What can I do?
Hello, Thanks for the query, The stripping of veins lead to clotting of blood and hence pigmentation under the skin. This pigmentation cannot be removed by creams as it is deeper. LASERS may help you a bit but I doubt how much will be the result.
