Done Knee Joint Arthroscopic Surgery, Diagnosis Card Shows Injury In ACL, MM. What Does It Indicate?
Hi, I im jayanga from sri Lanka.Yesterday i was discharge from the hospital after knee joint arthroscopic surgery in my right knee. my diagnosis card indicates 25% injury in ACL (PL bandle 25% injury) and MM (Flap lesion ). as I am a badminton player, I am so worried to wait another 2 weeks for clinics to meet my doctor to know my knee condition. please kindly explain about my knee condition.
A ligament is a bundle of fibers together like a rope, and the 25% implies that this amount has be "frayed" either around the edge or in one area.
the flap lesion simply implies that your medial meniscus is torn about 25%; with the "flap lesion" being a common "type" of tear. others include "parrot beak tears" and so on....
