Done Partial Hysterectomy, Ovary Removal. Took Premarin, Progesterone. Have Night Sweats. Can I Stop Progesterone?
Hi I had a partial hysterectomy few years ago and then had my ovaries removed about 4 months ago. I was having awful night sweats so the dr put me on Premarin and them progesterone. He said the progesterone would only be for three months I am almost done with the second month and I hate it. Can I stop the progesterone.
Hi, welcome to Health care magic forum. You got your ovaries removed 4 months back, and due to night sweats you was kept on premarin, and progesterone. You are vexed with the progesterone, how do you you no that it is due to the progesterone, it also could be due to premarin also. Any how don't try to make your own decisions , some times they may be wrong, and you may have to face it. I advise you to consult your doctor for starting or stopping the medicine, to prevent untoward side effects. He can take decision being examining you, from here we cant judge. Wishing for a comfortable life. Thank you.
