Dull Pain On Lower Right Side While Lying Down. Having Cirrhosis For Years, Now Stable. Cause Of Pain?
Hi,
I have cirrhosis of the liver since 1996. i just had my six month check up and a total liver profile blood work up. My liver profile results came back very good and stable. I am due for another MRI with contrast this October. The last MRI showed no masses and clear. However the past few days I have dull pain on my lower right side when only laying on my left side. Oterwise no pain at all when standing, laying on my back or laying on my right side ?
You are having cirrhosis since 1996. which might have developed lot of fibrous bands in and around the liver.
Usually they are non inflammatory and painless in normal circumstances, but they do not allow the structure to more freely in side the abdominal cavity. so when you change the posture these fibrous band restrict the movement of the organ thus causing dull ache to you. does not seems to be any serious problem
Hope your query is answered
Thanks
