Hi thanks for writing on HCM. In my opinion occasional spotting that occurs before a period or in the middle of a cycle is not a reason to be worried, as it is usually normal. Spotting a few days before or after your period can be due to various factors like mental or physical stress can affect your menstrual cycle. Sometimes ovulation does not occur and your progesterone hormone levels are insufficient, which, causes spotting during the last half of your cycle.I still neither feel that this is a sign of early menopause nor due to any abnormality. Make sure that the bleeding is from your vagina and not from your urine or rectum. If you feel bleeding is abnormal you may consult a gynecologist. Hope this helps and I have answered your query.
