EKG Showed Left Axis Deviation, Left Bundle Branch Block And Abnormal Ekg. On Toprol, Lisinopril. Is This Serious?
My wife was in the ER Thursday and released yesterday for chest pain, indigestion, shortness of breath and very tired. They did an EKG and found some irregularities such as left axis deviation, left bundle branch block and abnormal ekg. The did a chest xray and an angiogram, the arteries were so clean it was over very quick. They put her on Toprol 25mg twice daily and lisinopril 2.5mg once daily. The first ekg was different from the second ekg but both results indicated lbbb. Two years ago the ekg was normal on a physical. She goes in next week for consultaion however not I want to know what now, and how serious is this, what can they do, will it go away etc.
Hello there! left bunle branch block has not a favourable prognosis factor for mortalities. Etiology needs to be seeked for this conduction blockade. a constant touch with a cardiologist with full compliance of medication is requested from me. Whether it will stay or go away, only etiology and work up will tell. Good Luck S Khan
