Ear Congestion, White Bumps Behind Tongue Close To Tonsils, Cold, Throat Pain. Taking Mucinex. Treatment?
I have a lot of congestion, my ears hurt, the top of my mouth hurts close to my tonsils and I have white bumps in the back of my tongue close to my tonsils. I have been like this for 3 days. I have been drinking mucinex and aleve cold and sinus and it seeems to help for a little and then the pain in my throat gets worse.
It seems that you are having infectiion in the upper respiratory tract.
You should get yorself examined by an ENT specialist.
White bumps can be due to tonsillar stones/infetcion of the tonsils. Tonsillar stone can result in pain in throat during swallowing and also in foul smelling breath. If present, they can be removed by your ENT doctor.
You should get a throat swab culture done along with Complete Blood Count.
You can take pain killer like Ibuprofen one tablet twice a day after meals along with antacid for relief of pain. Antibiotic can be added according to the culture/senstivity reports. Antihistamines along with decongestants will also be helpful for relief of your symptoms.
I hope this is helpful to you.
Thanks.
