Ear Pain. Advised Bevon Tablets. Recommended MRI Scan. Do I Need Further Treatment?
Hi, I am pradeep 28 years old. Fews years back I was suffering from hear pain and I can't hear from the right side, when I consulted the ENT surgeon he recommended me to do the MRI scan and got the reports stating that, this is the problem with Acoustic newrnomy and I have been advised to take the Bevon tablets for next 2 years. So how long I need to take this? And this will be cured by tablets or need any further treatment?
Hello.Neuroma is a tumor of the acoustic nerve.Your neurosurgeon not consider surgery,by now, probably because you dont have severe symptoms.
The time you should take the tablets depends on the size the tumor and your symptoms. If the tumor grows or you have other symptoms such as unsteadiness, dizziness, severe headache, visual problems or sudden vomiting, Surgical treatment is needed.I wish you good health.
