I have recently recovered from the flu, though still have some sinuses. Today I was sitting with my laptop with my head bent down for about 2-3 hours. (Yes, I realize this is never good!) 15 minutes after getting up and heading off to bed I began to have pain in both ears which gradually increased in severity to the point where I couldn't sleep. Also, the very lower-back part of my jaw seemed to slightly hurt too (not as much as the ears) and made a couple very small 'pops' when I bit down a few times. (I read about this having ties with ear pain) So I am thinking this pain is either due to sitting in that position for so long rather than the sinus/mucus. Opinions? Anyway, I went ahead and took an advil with some sudafed (sudafed which doesn't contain acetaminophen). The pain has lessened down but slight pressure in my ears remain. I never have chronic ear pain. It's very rare for me to get ear pain at all and I've not had it for a while. The only time I've had it is when I had some ear infections in the past after a very severe flu or cold. This one wasn't nearly as bad (only lasted 2-3 days) and the pain in my ears only started after I sat in that position for nearly 3 hours. Any suggestions, tips or diagnosis would be appreciated. Don't worry, I won't sue you or anything if you're wrong. Just want some opinions. :p Cheers!
