Endoscopy Shows Red Spots In Stomach. History Of Stomach Pain. Cleared Of H Pylori. Reason For Red Spots?

hi i use to have pain in my stomach for last 4 years when i was in stress. i was cleared of h pilory in my breath test last year. Today i had an endoscopy and my doc told he sees no ulcer although there is a red spot in my stomach . he has taken few biopsies . He says everything seems ok . Pls can u tell me what is the red spot? thanks

Hi, thank your for posting.

I read your query very carefully and I can say that the red spots in your stomach are extended blood vessels. Those are localized on the duodenum, and are prevalent in stomach, sometimes the internal view is like watermelon, or it is called honeycomb stomach.
Red spot is secondary disease and has a cause that can be:
1. Liver Cirrhosis.
2. Morbus raynaud(blood vessel disease).

To find the cause you need intravenous cholangiography and abdominal ultrasound.

So you should contact a hepatologist.
