Every few days I have a blood clot in my urine, I don't have a fever For the past week I would wake up in the morning and pass a blood clot; afterwards my urine flow would be normal with no signs of blood. My Doctor prescribed Cipro, but even with the Cipro (5 days) I still sometimes pass a blood clot.
hi peter;
welcome to healthcare magic.
Passing blood clot in urine is not a good thing & requires investigation.The clot suggests that there is some reason which is causing bleeding .Had it been infection it should have responded to Cipro as it is a good antibiotic.You will need to get Urine routine done with the morning sample of urine;get a X-ray KUB done and ultrasound of KUB & pelvis to find out the problem.Please consult a Urologist before doing the reports.
take care
thanks
Passing clots may be more than infection. You need to get further investigated with USG and then probably with CT scan. You also need to let me know your age.
Take care
