Experienced A Pop In Calf. Soreness And Stiffness Till The Back. Shall I Try For A Massage?
Last week i was doing zumba class & felt pop in my calf . It felt better by later that day, mildly sore for a couple days but seemed ok. So i figured it was better then I was doing a Zumba exercise class again this morning and felt a much stronger pop in my left calf. Can t walk without limping - painful to walk. Pain when flexing my foot . Feels like the stiffness extends a bit up into the back of my thigh. Painful to touch if I push on calf or try to massage it out. What did I do? Can I just ice it, take ibuprofen and get better or do I need to get it looked at?
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
It seems that you have had a minor muscle sprain due to an overuse. Taking a mild pain killer and icing the area should provide the expected relief in 7-10 days.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
