Experiencing Abnormal Bleeding During Sex. All Medical Test Normal. What Is Causing This?
Im 28 & I have been experiencing abnormal bleeding during sex since august 2012. I have done a Physical exam of the cervix; a paps smear, ultrasound, blood tests, hormonal tests and nothing seems abnormal. The insulin ( fasting ) test was within normal range but towards high. I have been to 2 doctors but none seem to able to figure it out. This happens all the time i have intercourse at whichever time of the month. Please assist
HI,
TRUTH BE TOLD VAGINAL BLEEDING AFTER SEX COULD BE SCARY OK
AND IT IS NOT A SYMPTOM YOU SHOULD IGNORE. THIS CONDITION IS KNOWN AS POST COITAL BLEEDING AND IT COULD SIGNIFY A PRE CANCEROUS LESION OF THE CERVIX:CERVICAL DYSPLASIA BUT IN YOUR CAS SINCE YOUVE HAD A NEGATIVE PAP SMEAR,ULTRASOUND AND BLOOD WORKS ARE ESSENTIALLY NORMAL THEN OTHER CAUSES SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED FOR.
IT COULD BE A CERVICAL POLYP OR ECTROPION OR AS A RESULT OF INFECTIONS WITH CHLAMYDIA/GONORRHEA/TRICHOMONA. IT COULD ALSO BE AS A RESULT OF VAGINITIS/CERVICITIS,ENDOMETRITIS/ENDOMETRIOSIS/ADENOMYOSIS.
YOUR AGE DOES NOT FAVOUR CANCER OF THE CERVIX ANYWAY. A TRANSVAGINAL ULTRASOUND WOULD BE HELPFUL.
HOPE U FIND THIS HELPFUL
