Experiencing Lower Abdominal Pain & Heavy Bleeding

Hi, I gave birth to a baby boy on 31st Oct 2011. Had my first periods after delivery on 19th June 2012. Second on 21st june, which turned out to be abnormally heavy bleeding, to stop that docs gave me some progesterone injections. Then on 20th july onwards I had spotting for 15 days, after which I was put on primolut tabs for a one month course. I got my periods now on 12th Oct, today is 5th day and iam experiencing lower abdominal pain and heavy bleeding...plz suggest.

OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine 's  Response
Hi,

I think that this condition of your can be due to muscle cramps and spasms so I will suggest you to have antispasmodic Drotaverine tablets for 5 days and a Pantoprazole course for 10 days.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sujoy S. Bhattacharjee, OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine
