Experiencing Stabbing Sharp Pain In Area Of Navicular Bone, Painful Foot. What Can Be Done?
Hello, my step father is experiencing stabbing sharp pain in the area of his Navicular bone. However he has not experienced any exercise or straining activity to cause such an injury. He was just sitting down and sharp pain hit the top of his foot. It has happened more than 3 times in random sequences in the past 10 minutes. What should I do?
Hi I think you need to get a serum uric acid just to rule out any possible hyperuricemia. Do also watch out for his foot wear whether appropriate or not. Shoes with thick soles help to reduce pressure and are very helpful. Try some NSAIDS twice per day to reduce pain and if not better an Xray can be done to rule our any possible abnormalities
