i had a partial hysterectomy about 2-3 years ago, and i have facial hair, mood swings, sporadic night sweats, hot flashes, severe headaces, and terrible tummy fat. my ob/gyn just prescribed .03 premarin, and i want to know if this will help/stop these symptoms. i am already on several meds to help me with depression and panic, anxiety attacks.
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. Mood swings , facial hairs, night sweats , hot flashes, headache, tummy fat all are an indication of menopausal syndrome . Your treating doctor has prescribed premarine ( estrogen ) , this is a right direction treatment . In my opinion take this treatment according to the advice of your doctor. Also get in blood examination for estrogen , androgen ( may be a cause of facial hairs) and F S H / L H ratio. Good luck. Dr, HET
