Fever And Shivers. Urine Sample Shows Infection. Emergency?
Hallo doc s . My 9 month Old son is has fever and is shaking.i went to emergency and they Took Urine Sample and was Said he has nö infection , wie were there for 6 hours and Looked like he was Doing Good , wie came back home n he is Having fever n is shivering? What schould i do i am from switzerland , he has 39.1 degree Celsius under his Arm . Pls help

In a 9 month old viral infection is the most common cause of fever.You have already got him examined and if routine blood tests are done and negative then there is nothing to worry.keep him hydrated,give antipyretics like crocin to bring down fever and you can do cold sponging if required.

If your son has 39.1 C fever with chills it is likely that he is having an infection somewhere in the body. If not urine, it could well be a respiratory or a gut infection.
So its better that you visit the ER or a local pediatrician ASAP to sort out the source of infection.
Mean while continue feeding your child and try tepid sponging.
