Fever And Was Given Crocin. Runny Nose And Doctor Prescribed Meftal. Temperature And Cough Persists. Advise.

hi doctor.my dotr goin to b 2 dis oct 27th.she had fever from Saturday night every 4hr nd was controlled by crocin on Sunday full day she dint hav temperature but again got fever that NYT on Monday we continued crocin since she had fever once every six hours on Tuesday she was very dull nd had teary eyes nd runny nose so doc prescribed meftal nd again today we gave her every 8 hrs but she dint hav temp again this NYT at 11:45 she started running temprature plz suggest wat to do she is coughing also

Persistent presence of fever denotes active infection, as she is having running nose its likely to be viral infection. Normal saline nebulization will help her cough. Nuclear nasal drops will help. There could also be secondary bacterial infection so would suggest you a three day use of antibiotic like azithromycin
