Hi,
remember the pain might not disappear completely at a go, because its a mechanical problem. Drugs might help but there are some behavioural patterns you got adapt to avoid instigating the pain. You need lie down on a hard surface when you rest at home, need not sleep on very had mattresses, avoid stooping to pick up stuff especially heavy loads and do not put on weight. Your weight if maintained could be good.
I would like to know if other tests like Erythrocyte sedimentation rate and C reactive protein were run, and if possibilities of spinal TB were discussed. Reason because you presented all of these symptoms in a febrile context. The is not a very common but common cause of lower back pain in a febrile context.
Thanks and hope it helps,
Luchuo, MD.
