Flutter In The Left Chest During The Early Part Of Day And Goes Away. Whats Happening?

For the past couple days I have felt what feels like a flutter in the left side of my chest , around where my heart is. It s usually only in the early part of the day and then goes away. I have no pain and feel fine otherwise. I m healthy (although admit I don t eat the best or drink enough water) and am an avid runner. Any ideas?

Hello.

If the flutter is localized and the feeling is like a flickering of an eyelid, it is muscular. Do not worry. That happens sometimes and typically lasts for a week or two.

If it is palpitations, you need to evaluate. When the flutter occurs, check your pulse. If it is not fast or irregular, then relax. Wait and watch.
