Forehead Hot To Touch, Normal Body Temperature For The Rest Of The Body. Prescribed Crocin Drops. Suggestions?

My son s forehead is hot from last 3 days, but rest of his body looks to normal. When i placed Thermometer under his arm it show normal. i recently went to a doctor and he suggested to use Crocin drops until the temp comes down. Its been 3 days but still he is having fever. I am just worried how long should i continue using crocin drops. can you please suggest?

Simply feeling the skin with your hand, especially on the face, is not reliable as a gauge of fever and only a thermometer is accurate, either oral, rectal, or with one of the newer temporal thermometers. Fever is defined as a temperature, taken properly, of greater than 100.4F or 38C, so you need not give him fever reducers unless he actually has fever.
