Foul Smell In Mouth. Done Dental And Throat Check Up, Nothing Found. Father And Brother Having Same Problem. Any Ideas?
Sir, There is foul smell in mouth. Even i hesitated to open my mouth in front of someone because of this. My father and my one of my brother is also having the same problem. Doctor suggested me to make dental check and throat check up. Found nothing wrong. So please let me know the possible reason for this and how i can come out of this.

hi... thanks for the query... well, halitosis (bad breath) is usually due to dental infections, ENT infections and medical problems... go for proper clinical examination... as you said, there is family history also... so it can be due to metabolic disorder like diabetes... so please go for proper physical examination also... hope it will help you... take care...
Hi Welcome to HCM forum Bad smell is generally due to improper oral hygiene. It can also be the signs of an infection of the stomach or intestines. Improper eating patterns such as eating heavy meals that are high in protein and sugar . you could stay away from Sweet potatoes, Garlic, Onions, Tomatoes, protein, peas, beans. Take plenty of water, herbal drinks,high fiber diet. The best remedy to get rid of such bad smell is to drink glass of warm water with honey and lemon first thing every morning. Foul smell in the mouth can be due to poor oral hygiene, plague and calculus deposition, sinusitis, pharyngitis, GIT disturbances. I would suggest you to get complete mouth scaling and polishing in every six months. Develop a habit of brushing your teeth twice daily. Use dental floss, and antiseptic mouthwash rinses. Take complete balanced diet, drink lots of water and keep yourself hydrated. Also get an checkup done with an ENT specialist and Physician.
hi there Do not get embarrased dear .this is common a problem of many people. its good if you have no problems with your dental hygine and also you say your throat comes out to be fine. i can tell you one more reason for bad breath is your improper digestion ,get it also checked. now what can you do is that keep brushing three times a day. use some mouth washes and mouth freshners.Also get your full mouth scaling done once.consult your general physician for gastric problem and take proper treatment hope my suggestion help you lead a better life
