Four Wisdom Teeth Was Removed And Gum Area Was Swollen. Noticed Small Lump In Neck. Having Lot Of Pain. What To Do?
About eight years ago i had all 4 wisdom teeth removed and the doctors had an issue with my left lower tooth they had trouble removing it. my mouth healed but that one spot. every now and then the gum area gets swollen but it goes away. the past few days the same thing happened again but this time i had to bite down on a papertowel to drain the blood and pus from my gum. now that the swelling went down and I can now eat, i noticed i have a small lump in my neck and it hurts when i touch it. my big gland in my neck was swollen but that went down but this other lump is not going away. is there anything you can tell me? i was planning on going to a walk in clinic when i get out of work at 5pm today. please help i am in alot of pain... thank you
Since your wisdom teeth has extracted 8 years ago and still the socket of one of the extracted wisdom tooth is bleeding due to inadequate wound healing,i would advice you to get a thorough clinical as well as x-ray evaluation done of the involved area.
Chances of root pieces or bone projections are high at the site .
Based on the interpretation, socket has to be debrided and curetted.
Complete course of antibiotics-analgesics has to be administered.
