Fresh Blood Mixed With Saliva During Vomitting. Negative For Lower Respiratory Tract Infection. Reason For Blood Vomitting?
hello just this morning i had episodes of vomiting . i was really forcing my self to vomit but nothing comes out only saliva . but i was alarmed when i noticed some fresh blood mixed with it. i just want to clarify what triggers the spitting of blood? just a week ago i had my sputum and x-ray checked and i was negative for any Lower Respiratory tract infection .
Hi.As you forced yourself to vomit, due to trauma Blood might have mixed with saliva.Nothing to worry. It subsides spontaneously. Please dont repeat this at trauma may lead to injury to sensitive tissues.Blood coming from mouth mixed with saliva has nothing to do with Sputum and X ray chest. These investigations are needed only when then there is Coughing of blood(Haemoptysis),not blood vomiting(Haematemesis). All the best.
