Fungal Rash Around Waistline, High Fever, Cough, Vomiting. Treatment Options?
my son has rash around his waistline, to me it looks fungal it has irregular red borders and its white inside, he has had it for a couple days and is now running high fever and has a junky sounding cough, so long as his fever is less than 101 which is all tylenol drops it to he acts fine but as soon as it spikes he is tired and and throws up when anything touces his lips are the rash and fever related?
Hi ! If it is confirmed that the rash around his waistline is fungal, the fever which he got now possibly not related. The rash needs to be evaluated by a dermatologist . The fever if viral, will be ok in three to four days. In case the fever lasts more, you may have to take him to your treating doctor, who may go for a fever profile check up in the blood to arrive at a conclusion and treat him accordingly. Wishing your son an early recovery.
