Get Severe Headache On One Side And Neck. Suggested Surgery After CT Scan. What Are The Reports?
Hi I used to get severe headache on right side and as well as neck portion. ENT suggested for CT scan. My CT scan shows the following points: 1. Extensive polypoid mucosal thickening is seen in the left maxillary sinus. 2. Minimal mucosal thickening is seen in the right maxillary and right posterior ethmoid sinuses. 3. There is evidence of bilateral concha bullosa. 4. There is evidence of paradoxical curvature of the right middle turbinate. 5. Gross DNS is seen to the right side with bony spur formation.
After seeing the report my ENT suggested for surgery. My question is how severe is the problem and does it require surgery or it can be cured only by tablets?
You have DNS with CHRONIC SINUSITIS with anatomical deformity. This is definitely the cause for headache though you have right side headache and sinusitis is on left side but concha bullosa and DNS are common cause of headache and they can't be cured with tablets. Its better to undergo surgery otherwise you may end up taking treatment for migraine .
