Groin Pain In Both Legs. Relief With Home Treatment. Can Sore Back Lead To Groin Pain?
About 2 weeks ago I woke up with groin pain in both legs, more severely in the right leg. The left leg pain went away fairly quickly (same day) but the right continues to cause agonizing moments of pain if I happen to move the wrong way. I have been applying home treatment with little improvement. I wonder if my back could have somehow caused this, as it had been sore for about a week prior to this happening (and I have history of herniated disc). Have not yet gone to see doctor, because I will feel stupid if I just need to be more patient and keep RICE'g it. I cannot move at all during the night else the sever pain wakes me up.
Hi, One of the commonest causes of pain in the groin area is a hernia. These can occur on both sides at once. However, I am unclear whether this pain is in your groin or legs. I suggest you see your doctor who will be able to examine you. Hernias are usually easy to diagnose on examination or sometimes with a scan. Regards, Dr K A Pottinger, MBChB FRCA
