Had A Sinus Surgery. Cleared Tissue. Why Did My Eyes Droop?

I had sinus surgery last week, and had a follow-up appt with the Dr this afternoon. Today he cleared tissue and matter that was beginning to regenerate. After the anesthetic wore off the pain from this in-office procedure became pretty intense. I then experienced drooping of my left eyelid and eye brow. Is this to be expected or is it something serious?
