Had A Tonsillectomy. Mucus Filled Hole. Are Holes From Surgery Reopening?

My fiance had a tonsillectomy about 6 months ago. Now where one of her tonsils used to be there is a small hole there. She says the hole is covered and mucus and feels the other side is going to become a hole as well. As if the holes from her surgery are reopening. Is this something to be concerned about and what is best to do? She no longer has insurance.

Hello

welcome in H.C.M.

I read your query and in this reference I would like to tell you that the hole in the area of tonsil is really the empty tonsilar fossa. This is a normal post operative stage and no need for worry.

Regards.
