Had A Total Hysterectomy. On Premarin. Hair Keeps Sweating. Took Patch. Suggested That I Need Hormones. Suggestions?

I am 66 years old and had a total hysterectomy when I was 32. I was on Premarin until 2 years ago and my head (hair) kept sweating. My dr ran blood tests and said my Premarin was no longer working. Then I started on a patch. It wasn't strong enough and dr put me on a stronger patch. He said he talked with other doctors and nobody had heard of the Premarian no longer working. I told him my surgeon had told me that I would quit taking horomone a when I was about 65. My doctor said my tests showed I was desperately needed horomones. What do you think?

Hello ma'am.

If your hormone levels are low and you really need the hormones then it is best to go ahead with hormone supplements, which means you will haveto find an alternative supplement that suits you or you could start experiencing some restricting menopausal symptoms.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
