Hi, i had an abortion in december while having chlymadia, i was treated but never went in for my follow up appointment, and recently i have noticed that one side of my cervix is very painful during sex. is that normal after an abortion? Also the past 2 days the outside has been swollen and very sore/itchy... and there is a thick white discharge.

hi.. you had abortion.. you have pain, itching, redness, white discharge, pain during sexual intercourse.. suggest infection due to trichomoniasis/gonococcal /chlamydial infection/candidiasis.. that needs to be investigated with culture and sensitivity and KOH mount for candidiasis.. see your gynaecologist for the examination and management.. this reproductive tract infection should be treated simultaneously for both the partners.. you should use contraceptive like barriers during the treatment.. all the very best..
