Had Bed Sore Wounds In Old Age. Put Her On Hospice With Minimal Pain? Suggest Life Expectancy?

I have a 99 year old aunt who has been in bed in a nursing home for several months now. She sleeps all the time, eats very little, had three bed sore wounds to one leg. One is to the bone and the ligaments are affected. The have been treating wounds for some time now. She can not stand, hands are drawn into fists. The facility doctor suggests amputation due to no circulation. We are not sure amputation would be a viable treatment at her age and diminished health condition. We have chosen at this time to put her on hospice and let nature take its course due to her age and physical condition. However, we want minimal suffering and pain. What might be the life expectancy of someone in this condition.
