Had Hysterectomy. Family History Of Uterine Cancer. On Covaryx. Have Hot Flashes, Mood Swings. Treatment?

I am 46 years old. I had a hysterectomy in 2001 due to horrible periods and a hx of uterine cancer in my family. I am currently taking covaryx, but am having hot flashes and HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, mood swings. I have been on these same hormones for the past 10 years. Could I be immune? Also, I recently lost about 20 pounds and I don't know if that could be effecting anything?? I am struggling..... HELP!!! My family wants to get rid of me!!

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The hot flushes and the mood swings that you are having are due to the hormonal changes in your body after a surgical menopause. You can get phyto estrogens prescribed from your gynecologist for relief.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
