Had Implant Inserted. Had Irregular Bleeds. On Cilest. Why Bloated?
Hi, I am looking for some advice. I gave birth to my daughter a year ago, and straight after decided to have the implant inserted. I was having irregular bleeds all the time, which bought down my iron levels. I have now been prescribed the pill cilest . I was on this before I fell pregnant with my daughter, and I did get the odd stomach cramp (not during my menstrual cycle) and since taken this (nearly 5 days) I have had bloating and uncomfortable aches in my tummy. I am 23 years of age. Thanks
Thanks for writing in.
Getting abdominal cramps and menstrual irregularity is common with use of this cilest tablets.
But bloating and stomach aches are not due to same drug. It can be due to indigestion or lack of exercise.
Once you continue the drug, your menstrual cycles will become regular and abdominal cramps will also disappear.
I hope I have cleared your doubt. Revert back for further clarification.
Best regards,
Dr. Neelam.
