hello and welcome to HCM,
As far as the tonsil surgery is concerned, a stitch or a burning (technically it is called cautery or diathermy) is just a temporary method of controlling bleeding and the healing takes place by granulation tissue.
Furthermore unlike other surgeries, the tonsils are not removed by cutting open anything and then suturing. Tonsils are superficial structures and do not need any cutting technically to reach so what i am trying to explain is that the stitches are not to close a path made. They are only done for control of bleeding and in most of the cases the stitch falls off.
Meanwhile, all these are only for your knowledge and not a solution to your problem. You need to stop meddling with the cut and consult an ENT immediately so that he can examine the cut and treat the same properly.
Some amount of
post nasal discharge is possible after tonsil surgery but if it is constant and more you need to get yourself evaluated by the ENT to rule out a
sinus problem and/or a reflux problem and get treated according to the results
take care

ps: You must remember that a
tonsillectomy will not guarantee that you will never get another infection! It will only make sure that you will not get recurrent infection and also even if you get an infection, it will not be very severe.
