hello and welcome to health care magic,
any broken piece of tooth left out at the area of removed tooth.take x-ray of that area, and diagnose according to that.if any root piece is remaining over there, then get it extracted.
get your teeth professionally cleaned to reduce the inflammation of gingiva called gingivitis.
i advice you to take doxycycline-100mg tab.for 7 days to reduce gum infections.
if the socket of tooth removed is not yet healed, check with your dentist for any other anomaly over there.
hope you get well soon.

hello and welcome to hcm forum,
according to the dental history it seems you had a tooth abscess, following which your dentist extracted the tooth, but if the area still hurts, then i would advise you to meet a specialist
(oral surgeon), who will click an x-ray and check for a tooth remnant .
now for the tooth which has undergone a root canal treatment, it seems that either the treatment has not been completed yet or the infection is very severe.
i would have appreciated if you would have attached your tooth x-ray with the query,
i recommend antibacterial mouth rinses(betadine) twice/day for 1 week.
warm saline rinses will also help.
i hope i answered your query,
i wish you good health.
