Had Vaginal Birth, Have Stitches, Vulva Area Has Abscess, Spots On Blood Seen. What Could It Be?
Hi I had a vaginal birth almost a year ago but had to get stiches due to I was ripped approx. 1-2in during delivery&when I went to myy postpartum appt everything was fine but now myy vaginal area is swollen&my vulva area has an abscess like ball&it itches&from time to time when I wipe I see little spots of blood....What could it be?

Hi,
From your history it seems that you had episiotomy done to give more passage for baby to come out.
Now it seems that old episiotomy scar became rough and some infection occurred leading to forming abscess.
Nothing to worry, consult gynaec andget examined locally.
If abscess is formed they will go for incision and drainage of pus followed by few dressings.
