Hand Injury, Iced. Black And Blue Hand, Gingerly Feeling. What Can I Do?

My mom slipped and fell in the shower almost 3 weeks ago. She braced her fall with her left hand and most of her weight landed on that hand. I iced her hand within minutes and she was able to move her fingers with only a small amount of pain. The next day the palm of her hand was black and blue and entire hand was much bigger than the other. She still used the injured hand gingerly. The the bruising has pretty much faded away but her hand is still swollen....but not as much as before. I've bent her fingers and she can grasp my hand but it's not as strong as the right hand. Again, she says she isn't in any pain at all. She refuses to see a doctor. Is there anything I can do?

Neurologist 's  Response
Hi,
Thank you for posting your query.
It is good to note that she is getting better. However, in view of swelling, and bleeding, we need to exclude any fracture. So, if she does not get well, please get an X-ray of wrist and forearm done to rule out a fracture (such as Colle's fracture).

Please get back if you require any additional information.

Best wishes,
