Has Red Splotchy Rash On Palms And Feet. What Could This Be?
My toddler has red splotchy rash on palms of hands and soles of feet that itch her at times. Her doctor suggested hand foot and mouth disease however, she did not have a fever or sores in her mouth. She has had this rash for several weeks now. We did not change her detergent or soaps. Do you have any suggestions about what this may be?
Hello Welcome to healthcare magic forum. Thank you for your query I understand your concern regarding your skin problem. It look like hand ,foot and mouth disease. But we have to keep in mind other condition like palmo planter keratosis, psoriasis and atopic dermatitis. It is not necessary to have fever and sores in each case. Application of good moisturizer is main treatment. You need to apply it 4-5 times a day. It may increase in winter and dry season. She can use mild cleanser like cetaphil for wash. In severe case oral medication also required. It is better to consult dermatologist for proper treatment plan.
I hope I answered your question. Regards
